The Classic Martini with the Unlikely Flavour of Blue Cheese

This is a simple classic Martini, but have you ever ate blue cheese with it?

So a simple Martini is quite easy! I literally splashed a frozen martini glass with vermouth and swirled around before discarding. In my shaker I placed 1.5 oz of gin and a spalsh of olive brine, and shook it up!

The point of this post is to talk about how absolutely incredible blue cheese is with a gin martini... if you have never tried this you should. Basically you plate out a small appy plate to serve with your drink. The focus is the blue cheese, but just in small portions. While appies are cool, it's actually what the taste combination does toy the flavour of the actual martini.

This plate consisted of some smoked ham, cherry tomatoes, dill pickles and of course the blue cheese. A ham and blue cheese garnish for the glass is also a win for presentation!

I encourage you to try this, basically you take a bite of the blue cheese and while still in your mouth take a sip of your martini, and watch the flavour profile change! I hope you enjoy!
