Beef and Brussel Sprouts Dog Food

This is a super healthy meal that takes very little prep because you keep this one in larger chewable chunks!

So as with all of my dog food posts, I want to ensure everyone checks out the nutritional needs of their specific breed and requirements by age. It's also a great idea to consult your vet before changing or making your dog food! But that all said, here is a very easy idea that changes a meal up for my dog, because I left all of it in bite sized chunks rather that the usual mixed consistency! I think Finnegan loved the big chunks of meat and I confirmed he loves brussels sprouts... who knew!

I started with cooking both stewing beef cubes and chicken gizzards in some water and dog safe oil until fully cooked and then I set it aside to cool down. The variety that I bought had chunks that were a bit too big! so once cooled I cut them into smaller pieces.

At the same time I boiled both butternut squash cubes and brussels sprouts in water. Until cooked. These were tiny sprouts so I could keep them whole, but if they were a larger I would likely have cut them in half.

I mixed this all together and served with some of his kibble. I made about 9 portions from this! Let me know if you try it out!

The recipe:

2 pounds of beef stew meat

1 pound of chicken gizzards

1 package of frozen butternut squash (about 600 grams)

1 package of frozen brussel sprouts 600 grams as well!

Cook each, ensure the pieces are a reasonable bite size for your dog's size! and serve!
